This Privacy Policy governs your use of the mobile application Photo Difference Hunter ("the Game," "the App"), developed and published by Zelicore Technologies ("we," "our," or "us"). Please read this document carefully. By downloading, installing, or playing Photo Difference Hunter, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you must discontinue use of the Game immediately.

1. Scope and Application

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to Photo Difference Hunter and covers all interactions you have with the Game on any supported mobile platform, including Android (via Google Play Store) and iOS (via the Apple App Store). It does not apply to any third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from within the Game.

Zelicore Technologies operates as the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection legislation. Our registered business contact is listed in Section 12 of this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information through multiple channels in order to operate the Game, improve user experience, and display advertisements. The categories of data we collect are described below.

2.1 Automatically Collected Device Information

When you launch or use the Game, we automatically collect technical information about your device, including: device make, model, and manufacturer; operating system name and version; unique device identifiers (e.g., Android ID, IDFA/IDFV on iOS); screen resolution and display settings; available storage and RAM; mobile carrier and network type (Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G); and time zone and language settings.

2.2 Gameplay and Usage Data

We collect data about how you interact with the Game to improve performance and user experience. This includes: levels and stages accessed or completed; scores, time-per-level, and in-game achievements; frequency and duration of play sessions; features accessed within the Game (e.g., hints, sound settings); and in-app purchase activity where applicable.

2.3 Log and Diagnostic Data

In the event of a crash, error, or unexpected behaviour, our systems may automatically collect diagnostic information including: crash reports and stack traces; error codes and descriptions; device state at the time of failure (battery level, memory usage); IP address (collected temporarily for diagnostic routing); and app version and build number.

2.4 Advertising Identifiers

To display advertisements within the Game, we and our advertising partners may access your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android; IDFA on iOS). These identifiers are used to deliver relevant ads and measure ad performance. You can reset or limit the use of these identifiers through your device settings at any time.

2.5 Information You Voluntarily Provide

If you contact us for support or provide feedback, you may voluntarily share personal information such as your name and email address. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not retained beyond the resolution of your request unless you consent otherwise.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under data protection law (including the General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR," and similar legislation), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual Necessity:Processing required to deliver the Game's core functionality and services to you.
  • Legitimate Interests:Analytics, crash reporting, and game improvement activities that benefit users without overriding your fundamental rights.
  • Consent:Personalised advertising, where your consent is obtained in accordance with applicable requirements (including through consent management platforms on supported platforms).
  • Legal Obligation:Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, or lawful requests from competent authorities.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following specific purposes:

Game Operation

To deliver the core gameplay experience, save your progress, and provide game features such as level unlocking and score tracking.

Performance & Optimisation

To analyse gameplay patterns, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve game performance, stability, and level design.

Crash & Error Resolution

To detect, diagnose, and fix technical issues, crashes, and bugs that may affect your gaming experience.

Advertising

To display advertisements that fund the free availability of the Game. Ads may be personalised or non-personalised based on your consent and location.

Security & Fraud Prevention

To protect the integrity of the Game, detect cheating or abuse, and ensure a fair experience for all players.

Legal Compliance

To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.

Photo Difference Hunter integrates the following third-party services and software development kits (SDKs). Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review their terms independently.

Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. We are not responsible for the data practices of any third-party service.

6. Advertising and Your Choices

Photo Difference Hunter is offered free of charge and is supported by in-game advertising delivered through Google AdMob. Ads may be banner ads, interstitial ads, or rewarded video ads. The Game may display both personalised and non-personalised advertisements depending on your consent status and jurisdiction.

Personalised Ads use your advertising identifier and behavioural data to show ads that are relevant to your interests. Non-Personalised Ads are shown based on contextual information only, such as your general location or the content of the Game.

You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

Android

Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or opt out of Ads Personalisation.

iOS / iPadOS

Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track."

Opting out of personalised ads does not remove advertising from the Game; it means the ads you see will be less tailored to your interests.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors (such as Google) solely to provide the services described in this policy. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zelicore Technologies, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections described herein.
  • Aggregated or De-identified Data: We may share anonymised, aggregated data (e.g., total player counts, average level completion rates) that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. Specifically:

  • Game progress and analytics data is retained for up to 24 months from your last active session.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically purged.
  • Support correspondence is retained for up to 12 months following resolution of your enquiry.
  • Advertising identifiers are subject to the retention policies of the respective advertising platforms.

When data is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymise it.

9. Data Security

We implement a range of technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
  • Restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis within our organisation.
  • Use of Firebase's built-in security infrastructure, including server-side access controls and audit logging.
  • Regular review of our data handling practices and security posture.

Despite these measures, no system is completely immune to security threats. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored on our systems. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The protection of children's privacy is of particular importance to us. Photo Difference Hunter is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age without verifiable parental consent.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our records. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 12.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we treat users under the age of 16 as minors for the purposes of consent to data processing, in accordance with GDPR requirements.
